Wilton is a small town located a few miles west of the Cathedral city of Salisbury in Wiltshire. The town has a rich history dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period and over the centuries Wilton has evolved into a thriving market town gaining worldwide renown for its carpet industry.

Wilton benefits from excellent transport links, including rail connections from nearby Salisbury to London (Waterloo) and other major cities, as well as easy access to the nearby A303 and A36.  This makes it an ideal base for both commuting professionals and leisure travellers who want to explore the picturesque countryside of Wiltshire and beyond.

The town has 2 lovely nursery schools, South Hills and Brambles Outdoor as well as Wilton Primary school, and families are drawn to Wilton for its proximity to the excellent schools in Salisbury, both state-funded and independent.

What do we love to do in Wilton?
Our favourite ‘drinkeries’ include The Greyhound and The Pembroke Arms and for those wanting a traditional English pub with a beer garden – The Bear

Our favourite places to eat include Café Blend for breakfast, The Cuckoo Café for a quick lunch and Nole Pizza for its famous Quiz Night.  For something a bit more special we head to The Greyhound or The Pembroke Arms.

Wilton has a small market on a Thursday morning which complements perfectly the selection of shops in the town; Reeves the Baker (best sourdough for miles around), Courtyard Marketplace (a great range of artisan food), Wilton Hardware (most useful shop ever!), Lucky Leads (for all your pet supplies) and heavenly Paloma Lily (florist and botanical inspired gifts).

The town has an active and vibrant community offering everything from weekly Ceroc dance classes in the Michael Herbert Hall to Zumba and Pilates in the Community Centre.

Around Wilton, there are plenty of places to walk including Grovely Wood which is one of the largest woodlands in southern Wiltshire.  Alternatively, you can take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful grounds at Wilton House.
